100 chartered flights to land in Ayodhya Airport for Ram Mandir consecration on January 22
Ayodhya Airport: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared today that around 100 chartered flights are expected to land at Ayodhya's Maharishi Valmiki International Airport for the upcoming consecration ceremony of the Ram temple on January 22.

During a virtual function for the inauguration of the Ayodhya to Ahmedabad flight by IndiGo, Adityanath, who connected from Lucknow, announced the significant air traffic projections for the auspicious day. The airport, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 30, is gearing up for this momentous event.

At the same virtual event, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, participating from the national capital, shared plans for the expansion of Ayodhya airport and the extension of its runway. This development aims to accommodate larger aircraft and facilitate the operation of international flights.

Scindia mentioned that the second phase of expansion for the Ayodhya airport will begin soon, ensuring improved connectivity for the city through additional flights. He also declared the inauguration of five new airports in Uttar Pradesh within the next month, bringing the total number of airports in the state to 19.
The new airports in Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Chitrakoot, and Shravasti are expected to contribute to the state's enhanced aviation infrastructure. The consecration ceremony at the Ram temple, a highly anticipated event, is scheduled for January 22.
