5 Killed, 11 injured in jeep lorry collision in Andhra
In a disturbing incident in Andhra Pradesh, 5 people were killed and several others were injured in a road accident. The accident occurred when a lorry and a jeep collided in the Annamaya district of Andhra Pradesh. The incident occurred on Friday morning said the police.
According to reports, 11 people are seriously injured. seven out eleven people faced sever injuries and their situation is critical.
Police further added that, among the 5 people who were killed in the accident, three were women and 2 were men. The injured were getting treated in Tirupati Rua Hospital. "A total of five people perished in the accident. Of the injured persons, seven are said to be in serious condition. They are admitted at the Tirupati Rua Hospital," Nagababu, circle inspector, Methampally told ANI.
Accident damaged the four wheeler
With seven of the injured individuals currently in serious condition, there is a distinct possibility that the casualty count may see an increase," stated an official regarding the unfortunate incident. Law enforcement authorities have clarified that the precise cause of the accident remains undetermined at this juncture.
Visual evidence obtained by ANI reveals significant damage to the front of the lorry resulting from the collision, whereas the jeep is in a severely mangled state. To provide context, it should be noted that the lorry was on route from Chittor to Kadapa, whereas the jeep was transporting 16 pilgrims returning from a visit to Tirumala to Belagavi, Karnataka, when the two vehicles were involved in this tragic accident.
In another accident in the state, an ambulance hit an Oil Tanker while the ambulance driver was sleepy. The accident took place on the Bengaluru Tirupati national highway. $ people from Orissa were killed on the spot and another was injured.
