78th Independence Day : CJI DY Chandrachud said it is easy to Take Freedom For Granted For Young Generation
CJI DY Chandrachud said on the occasion of Independence Day that India had chosen the option of independence in 1950.He said that this day reminds us to discharge our duties towards each other and the nation in realizing all the values of the Constitution. Referring to Bangladesh situation what is happening in Bangladesh today is a clear reminder of how valuable both these things are, it reminds us what the price of freedom is The Chief Justice further said that this morning I was reading an article by a Karnataka singer, named 'Sounds of Freedom', today many young lawyers are from the post-independence generation, but many of you are from the post-Emergency generation. It is easy to take freedom lightly, to understand how important it is, look at the stories of the past.

CJI said that the lawyer of the bar is force of goodness
The CJI said that the lawyers of the bar have been a force of goodness in our country. Courts work to keep rights and freedom alive; members of the bar are the important link between the people and the judges. They give us a chance to see the pain of the people. He said that litigants from villages to metros are demanding justice. The legal community allows the court to deliver justice. Last year I talked about improving infrastructure.
