A woman from Kerala has been accused of impersonating a nurse and attempting to harm a newborn's mother in a hospital
A 30-year-old woman was detained after she pretended to be a nurse at a nearby private hospital in an attempt to kill her friend's wife. Police announced on Saturday that Anusha, a friend of the victim's husband, had been detained. On Friday, the suspect went into Sneha's room dressed as a nurse and informed her that she needed to receive one more injection. 
She twice tried to inject air into the victim's vein with an empty syringe, but she was unsuccessful. When she tried it once more, Sneha's mother grew suspicious and told the nursing staff, according to the police. The accused was captured by hospital staff, who then turned her over to the police. The victim's health was reported to be stable. The victim's husband and Anusha's sister were classmates. The victim's husband is presently away.
