Aashiesh Sharrma opens up about being replaced abruptly in Akshay Kumar-Aishwarya Rai starrer ‘Action Replayy’
Aashiesh Sharma is an actor who has proved his excellence on numerous occasions. Some of his most iconic works include ‘Rangrasiya,’ ‘Siya Ke Ram,’ and ‘Prithvi Vallabh.’ In a recent candid interview, the actor revealed a chapter in his career when he was replaced in a big Bollywood film.
In the conversation, Aashiesh shared that he was initially shortlisted for the 2010 Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai starrer ‘Action Replayy.’ He even participated in workshops to prepare for the role. However, communication regarding the film abruptly stopped, leaving him in the dark. When the film's poster was released, he realised that Aditya Roy Kapur was cast in the role instead.
This experience wasn’t an isolated incident for Aashiesh. He recounted another moment of uncertainty when producer Saurabh Tewari exited the film ‘Ekkees Toppon Ki Salaami’, and he was informed he would be replaced by Arjun Kapoor. Ultimately, the role went to Divyendu Sharma, highlighting the unpredictability of the industry. The actor said that there were many more such experiences which he has left in the past.
Despite these setbacks, Aashiesh has maintained a positive outlook. He emphasized the importance of perseverance, stating, “There is a space for everyone in the industry; you just have to be at it.” His perspective reflects a maturity and resilience that is inspiring to aspiring actors. He also noted that lamenting one’s circumstances or blaming someone is not a solution. Instead, he pointed to numerous examples of individuals from outside the film industry who have successfully carved their paths in Bollywood, reinforcing the idea that determination can lead to success.
