Actor Bala arrested after ex-wife’s complaint: Charged with Insulting womanhood and child cruelty
Actor Bala has been arrested by the Ernakulam Kadavantra Police following a complaint from his ex-wife, a singer, and her daughter. The arrest was made from his home early in the morning, according to police reports.

Complaint filed by ex-Wife and Daughter
The arrest stems from allegations made by Bala's ex-wife and her daughter, with charges including defamation, insulting womanhood, and cruelty to children. Kadavantra SHO confirmed that the case was filed under various sections, including Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for insulting womanhood, Section 406 for breach of contract with an ex-partner, and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act.
Social Media Involvement
The dispute appears to have escalated after both Bala and his ex-wife publicly commented on their family issues via social media. Bala reportedly made remarks involving his daughter, which led to further legal action. The police have taken statements from the complainants to support the charges.

Lawyers representing both parties have arrived at the police station, and the police have confirmed that Bala will be presented in court soon.
