Shigan, recognized as a leading provider of alternative fuel system solutions designed for automotive, locomotive, and stationary engine applications, will play a pivotal role in this partnership. Specializing in manufacturing alternative fuel systems for both original automotive equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the aftermarket, Shigan and Adani Total Gas aim to prioritize the adoption of natural gas in transportation and mining applications.

The scope of their sustainable solutions will extend to fleet operations, with a particular emphasis on Adani Group companies operating in sectors such as cement, ports, and logistics. The collaborative effort will explore LNG retrofitment solutions, encompassing stationary engines, locomotives, and marine equipment.

In addition to CNG/LNG-based retrofitment solutions, the partnership will delve into the development of e-mobility solutions tailored for last-mile delivery providers. Furthermore, the collaboration will investigate use cases for green hydrogen as a viable fuel source for Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles.

Both Adani Total Gas and Shigan express confidence in the positive environmental impact and broader business community benefits resulting from their joint initiatives. Through this MoU, the companies aspire to contribute to the decarbonization of the supply chain, promoting sustainable practices across various industries and fostering a greener future.

Suresh P Manglani, Executive Director and CEO, of ATGL, said, "The signing of the MoU represents a collective vision for a greener, more sustainable future. We look forward to co-developing end-to-end solutions, which will support the transport and mining industries in their decarbonisation journey and contribute to the net zero commitments of the country."

Shishir Agrawal, Managing Director, Shigan, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "This MoU marks a significant step forward in our joint commitment to environmental responsibility. By transitioning to cleaner fuels, we aim to not only reduce our carbon footprint but also inspire positive change within the industry."
