In a candid interview with The Lallantop, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt revealed that she has been diagnosed with ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder). Alia shared that while her close friends had suspected it for a long time, she only recently confirmed the diagnosis after undergoing psychological testing. Reflecting on her experience, Alia said, “I used to get zoned out from a young age,” explaining how she often lost focus during conversations or in class, not realizing it was linked to ADHD.

Alia Bhatt discussed how ADHD has shaped various aspects of her life. Despite the challenges, she noted two key moments where she feels completely focused and present—when she is in front of the camera and when she is with her daughter, Raha. “Whenever I am in front of the camera, I am most present. And now after Raha, when I am with her, I am most present,” Bhatt revealed, highlighting these as her most peaceful and grounded times.
Influence on her wedding decisions
Interestingly, Alia also shared that her ADHD played a role in her decision to opt for a minimalist makeup look for her wedding to actor Ranbir Kapoor in 2022. “I couldn’t sit for long in the makeup chair,” she admitted, which led to her choice of a more natural and subtle style for her big day. The couple welcomed their daughter Raha in November 2022, and since then, Alia has described her moments with Raha as incredibly grounding.
