7 days of state mourning in UP on death of Manmohan Singh, CM Yogi-Akhilesh Yadav paid tribute
The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has declared state mourning on the death of former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh. An order has been issued by the government regarding this. According to the order, the national flag will remain half-mast in the state during the state mourning till January 1, 2025. Along with this, there will be no government entertainment program.

Let us tell you that the Government of India has also announced 7 days of national mourning on the death of Manmohan Singh. The former PM will be cremated on Saturday with full state honors. There is a long queue of people for the last darshan. Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, big leaders including Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi have paid tribute.

The CM of UP has paid tribute to former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh through social media. Yogi Adityanath wrote on Instagram- 'The demise of former Prime Minister and renowned economist an irreparable loss to Indian politics. Humble tribute to him. I pray, to grant salvation to the departed soul and give strength to his family.
Akhilesh Yadav expressed grief
At the same time, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav also expressed grief over the demise of Manmohan Singh. He described Manmohan Singh as a Prime Minister whose decisions changed the country. Akhilesh Yadav said- The way Manmohan ji took decisions on economic policies is the result of which today we stand at par in the world.
According to the SP chief- It was said about Manmohan Singh ji that he used to speak less. But the decisions he took show that after how much thought and understanding he took those decisions. It was because of his decisions that big changes came in every field. Today the whole country is sad over his demise. But he will always be remembered.
Know former PM Manmohan Singh
It is known that Dr. Manmohan Singh was born on 26 September 1932 in a village in Punjab province of undivided India. He passed the matriculation examination from Punjab University in 1948. After this, his educational journey took him to the University of Cambridge, UK, where he received a first class honors degree in economics in 1957. After this, in 1962, he received a D. Phil in Economics from Oxford University.

Dr. Manmohan Singh, who was the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014, stayed away from active politics in recent years due to health reasons. His health was not well since the beginning of 2024.
