Aman Sehrawat has successfully progressed through the round of 16 and quarterfinals in the men’s 57kg freestyle wrestling at the Paris Olympics. With decisive wins by technical superiority, he is now just one victory away from securing at least a silver medal. Sehrawat's semifinal match will be held in the second half of the day.

Neeraj Chopra's Javelin Throw Final

On Day 13, Indian fans are eagerly anticipating Neeraj Chopra’s performance in the men’s javelin throw final. The defending champion will compete in the final event, scheduled for 11:55 PM IST. Earlier in the day, golf events feature Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar.

Wrestling and Hockey Updates

In wrestling, Aman Sehrawat demonstrated his dominance by defeating his Macedonian opponent, Vladimir Egorov, 10-0 in the round of 16. His subsequent quarterfinal and semifinal bouts are slated for later in the day. Anshu Malik will also compete in her women’s 57kg freestyle round of 16 match. The men’s hockey team is set to compete against Spain in the bronze medal match.

Day 12 was challenging for India at the Paris Olympics. Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the women’s 50kg gold medal match due to being 100 grams over the weight limit. Phogat has announced her retirement and has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) for a joint-silver medal. Mirabai Chanu finished fourth in the women’s 49kg weightlifting with a total lift of 199kg.
