Amitabh's Journey with KBC
Amitabh Bachchan’s association with Kaun Banega Crorepati started in 2000 when he agreed to host the show during a challenging phase in his career. The show, adapted from the British series Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, was a huge success and revived his film career. That same year, he also starred in the hit movie Mohabbatein.
Though Bachchan had to step down for the second season due to health issues, Shah Rukh Khan briefly took over as host. However, Amitabh returned for the fourth season and has been hosting every season since then.
