BPSC 70TH PRELIMS 2024: BPSC Preliminary Exam at 912 centers in Bihar

BPSC 70TH PRELIMS 2024:  Today BPSC 70th Prelims Combined Exam will be held on Friday at 912 centers in Bihar. Bihar Public Service Commission has set up 60 centers in the capital Patna. 4.80 lakh candidates had applied for this exam This is the biggest vacancy so far in the history of the commission, in which this exam will be taken for 2031 posts of various departments of the government.

Entry mandatory till 11:00: The exam will be conducted in one shift across the state between 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. It is mandatory to enter the examination hall by 11:00 am. Entry will start from 10:00 am. The commission has clarified that no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall under any circumstances 1 hour before the start of the examination i.e. after 11:00.

This document is mandatory: All the candidates have to download two copies of their admit card and take it to the examination hall. One copy of the admit card will be deposited with the invigilator in the examination hall. Apart from this, it is mandatory to bring the original copy of the identity card whose details have been given while filling the form. The color admit card has to be printed and taken.

Ban on electronic equipment: There is a strict ban on the use of any type of electronic equipment in the examination hall. Smart watch is prohibited for the candidates in the examination hall. Apart from this, carrying whitener pencil etc. is also banned. Candidates can only use blue / black colored pen. Jammer is being used at the center. Apart from this, the entire examination will be under the surveillance of CCTV cameras.

Same set of question paper: Commission Chairman Parmar Ravi Manu Bhai has said that four sets of question papers have been prepared to prevent paper leak in the examination. There are upto 10 series of questions in all sets. There is a change in the number of questions and the options for answers in the series of questions of one set. He clarified that 3 hours before the start of the examination, it will be decided by lottery in the commission office which set of question paper will be used. The same set of question paper will be used in all the districts.

17 centers have been set up in Jamui: Apart from the capital Patna, different centers have been set up in other districts. 17 centers have been set up in Jamui. 6924 candidates will appear for the examination in the district. Police officers will be deputed along with magistrates at the centers. Section 144 will be applicable within 100 meters of the center. Photocopy shops will remain closed till the end of the examination.
