BPSC exam at Bapu center cancelled after ruckus in Patna, Bihar

Bihar Public Service Commission has been cancelled the examination of Bapu Examination Center in Patna, due to BPSC paper leak allegation.

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been cancelled the examination of Bapu Examination Center in Patna, Bihar. This is the same center where there was a ruckus over the date of the BPSC exam, and then the students disrupted the examination process. During a protest against the alleged leak of the BPSC exam question paper, the District Magistrate of Patna slapped a candidate. After this the ruckus increased even more.

The commission has said that action will be taken against all the students who created a ruckus at the examination center, and they will be barred from appearing in any examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) in future.

Meanwhile a rumor of the leak of the BPSC preliminary examination question paper has been spread at an examination center on Friday, after which the commission warned of police action against those involved in this 'conspiracy'.

70th Integrated Combined Competitive Examination of BPSC

The 70th Integrated Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 of BPSC was held on Friday at the Bapu Examination Center in Kumhrar, Patna, but 300-400 candidates boycotted the examination even before it started, alleging that the question paper had been leaked on social media.

 A situation of chaos had arisen at this examination center after Additional Superintendent of Examination Ram Iqbal Singh died of a heart attack and a female candidate fainted. During the protest against the alleged leak of the question paper of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination, the District Magistrate of Patna slapped a candidate. After this the uproar increased even more. This incident of slapping was also captured on camera.

In the video, the District Magistrate can be seen surrounded by policemen and arguing with a candidate, gesturing him to leave from there and then moving a few steps forward and slapping him. The District Magistrate was also seen shouting at other protesters.

When asked about his action, the DM said that the protesters had blocked the road and two people, including a candidate, had to be sent to the hospital. He said that his intention was not to hurt anyone.
