Where Will Atal Canteens Be Opened?

The government plans to set up 100 Atal Canteens across Delhi, especially in slum areas where a large number of low-income families reside. This move aims to ensure that underprivileged communities have access to affordable and healthy food.

Focus on Slum Development

Apart from launching Atal Canteens, CM Rekha Gupta criticized the previous government for spending on luxury projects instead of improving basic infrastructure in slum areas. She announced a budget of Rs 696 crore to enhance essential facilities like sanitation and clean water for slum dwellers.

A Step Towards a Hunger-Free Delhi

The launch of Atal Canteens aligns with the government’s mission to make nutritious food accessible to everyone at a minimal cost. This initiative is expected to bring relief to thousands of daily wage workers and low-income families in the city.
