Customer Finds Fried Lizard in Biryani at Hyderabad’s Mehfil Hotel

A disturbing incident took place at Mehfil Hotel in Ibrahimpatnam, where a customer found a fried lizard in his chicken biryani.

G. Krishna Reddy from Sheriguda village, along with two others, went to Mehfil Hotel located on Sagar Road. After placing an order for chicken biryani, they were served the dish by a waiter. To their shock, they discovered a fried lizard mixed in the food.

When they asked the waiter about it, he acted unaware. The group then spoke to the restaurant manager about the poor food quality and the health risk. Instead of apologizing, the manager shockingly suggested they eat the lizard since it was “nicely fried.”

Angered by this response, Reddy and his friends went straight to the Ibrahimpatnam police station and filed a complaint. Sub-Inspector V. Chander Singh confirmed the report and said that the manager, Razack, was asked to appear for questioning and that a case would be registered.

Additionally, Reddy filed a complaint with the municipal and food safety departments, demanding strict action against the restaurant.
