Delhi, September 24: Chief Minister Atishi visited the Pracheen Hanuman Mandir in Delhi on Tuesday to offer her prayers. Speaking at the temple, she expressed her deep belief in Lord Hanuman, saying, “Hanuman ji has been our 'Sankat Mochan'”—a term meaning the remover of troubles.

Strength in Adversity

Atishi reflected on the challenges faced by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader, Arvind Kejriwal, over the past two years. She stated that for the last two years, AAP and Arvind Kejriwal had been attacked in every possible way. She mentioned that efforts were made to break, suppress, and silence them, but she believed that Hanuman ji had always protected AAP, Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi, and its people.

Seeking Blessings for the Future

During her prayers, Atishi sought blessings from Lord Hanuman, asking for continued strength to serve the people of Delhi. She expressed her commitment to work towards bringing Arvind Kejriwal back as Chief Minister in the upcoming elections.

Kejriwal's Return Amid Challenges

Arvind Kejriwal recently stepped down as Delhi's Chief Minister after facing corruption charges while in Tihar jail. He has stated that he will not resume his role unless the public votes for AAP and grants him a “certificate of honesty” in the upcoming February elections.

Atishi Steps In

In a symbolic gesture, Atishi took over as Chief Minister on Monday, vowing to govern Delhi in Kejriwal's absence. She drew a parallel to Bharat, who ruled in place of his elder brother, Lord Ram, by placing Lord Ram's wooden sandals on the throne. Atishi emphasized her intention to keep Kejriwal’s chair vacant in the Chief Minister’s Office, choosing instead to sit on a different chair to honor her predecessor.
