The Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the new phase of Namo Bharat Corridor today. While this additional 13 km long phase is located between Sahibabad and New Ashoknagar. With this inauguration, the Namo Bharat train will enter Delhi for the first time. It is being told that the inauguration of this new phase will give a new dimension to the regional connectivity between Delhi and Meerut.
Let us tell you that till now a 42 km route is already operational between Sahibabad and Meerut. There are a total of 9 stations on this 42 km route. With the inauguration on Sunday, now this entire route will become a total of 55 km and the total number of stations in it will increase from 9 to 11.

Multi-model integration has been given priority in the Namo Bharat project. The aim of this project is to make travel comfortable and accessible for passengers. This project has been prepared under the PM Gati Shakti-National Master Plan.
6 km part will be underground
This new stretch (corridor) is 6 km underground, which also includes Anand Vihar station. This is going to be the first time that Namo Bharat trains will run on an underground route. The underground station built at Anand Vihar is one of the largest stations of the Namo Bharat Corridor. The distance from Anand Vihar station to Meerut South station will be covered in 35 minutes.
Will run for passengers from 5 pm
After inauguration by PM Modi, Namo Bharat will be available for passengers from 5 pm on Sunday. This train will run at an interval of every 15 minutes. With the running of this train, the travel time from Delhi to Meerut will be reduced by one-third. Now passengers will be able to reach Meerut from Delhi in just 40 to 45 minutes.

Multi-model integration has been given priority in the Namo Bharat project. The aim of this project is to make travel comfortable and accessible for the passengers. This project has been prepared under the PM Gati Shakti-National Master Plan. It is said that the construction of Anand Vihar station under this project was technically challenging. But it has been made possible by the use of new technology.
These special facilities will be available
The Namo Bharat project has been built keeping in mind the convenience of passengers. Under this project, all kinds of facilities have been provided for passengers. For example, passengers will have free drinking water and toilet facilities at the station. Inclusive facilities have also been provided for elderly and handicapped passengers. All stations will be completely under the purview of CCTV cameras.

All kinds of facilities have been provided for passengers
One coach in every train has been reserved for women. Along with this, seats have been reserved for women, handicapped and elderly in other coaches as well. Special places have been provided for wheelchairs and stretchers inside Namo Bharat trains. An attendant will be available in every train to solve the problems of passengers and provide them better facilities. To deal with emergencies, a panic button has also been provided inside the coach and on the platform screen door. On pressing it, the staff available there will immediately reach to help you.
Work is going on other phases
Work is also going on other phases regarding Namo Bharat trains. Construction work is going on at a fast pace from New Ashok Nagar to Sarai Kale Khan and Meerut South to Modipuram. It is being said that after the completion of the work of Delhi-Ghaziabad and Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor, this corridor will become 82 kilometers long. After the trains start running on this corridor, people will get relief from traffic jams. At the same time, it will also have an impact on pollution. It is being said that after the full start of this corridor, the burden of more than one lakh private vehicles will be reduced from the roads. And this will reduce carbon emissions by more than two lakh tones annually.
