Did Nostradamus Predict Pope Francis’ Death and Successor?

What Did Nostradamus Say About a Future Pope?

In his 1555 book Les Prophéties, Nostradamus wrote about the death of an "old Pontiff" and the selection of a new Roman leader. His words state, "Through the death of a very old Pontiff… a Roman of good age will be elected. Of him it will be said that he weakens his see… but long will he sit and in biting activity."

He also mentioned, "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End."

These verses have led many to speculate about Pope Francis' condition and his possible successor.

Pope Francis’ Health and Speculation About His Successor

At 88 years old, Pope Francis has been facing severe health issues. Recently, he was hospitalized due to a lung infection that worsened into pneumonia. Reports suggest that he also has early-stage kidney insufficiency, leading to concerns about his well-being.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan recently stated that Catholics were "at the bedside of a dying father." He also prayed for Pope Francis to recover despite his fragile health.
