Farmers will not march to Delhi for a week: Agreement reached after meeting with authority officials
The farmers of UP have given a week's time to the central government to take a decision on their demands. During this time, farmers will protest at Dalit Prerna Sthal. If the demands are not met in a week, then the farmers will march to Delhi again.
This decision was taken after a meeting of farmer leaders with officials of Greater Noida, Noida and Yamuna Authority. After this, the barricading was removed from Noida Expressway and movement has started.

Earlier on Monday at 12 noon, farmers gathered near Mahamaya flyover in Noida. When they moved towards Delhi to surround the Parliament, the police stopped the farmers at Dalit Prerna Sthal. Farmers had a scuffle with the police and this police barricading was broken in the afternoon by the farmers.

The police had barricaded at various places on the Chilla border connecting Delhi-UP to stop the farmers. But the farmers broke the police barricades. However, Vajra vehicles and RAF personnel were deployed, drones were being used for surveillance. Due to the closure of Noida Expressway from both sides and checking of vehicles, a 5 km long jam had occurred.
Demands of farmers
UP farmers must be given 10% plot in lieu of land acquisition.
Farmers should get compensation at the rate of 64.7%.
According to the new land acquisition law, compensation should be given 4 times the market rate.
Benefits of employment and rehabilitation should be given to the children of landholder and landless farmers.
After several hours of talk between farmers and authorities
Meanwhile after several hours of talks has been taken place between the farmers adamant about the march and the three authorities. During this, Greater Noida, Noida and Yamuna authorities asked the farmers for a week's time. The farmers have accepted the officials' demand.

The farmers say that they will wait for a week at Dalit Prerna Sthal. If the demand is not accepted in a week, then the Kisan Morcha will march to Delhi. At present, the barricading has been removed from the expressway and movement has started.
Yamuna Authority's OSD Shailendra Singh, Noida Authority's ACEO Mahendra Prasad and Greater Noida Authority's OSD were present during the talks with the farmers.
