Festive Special Trains: With Diwali just two weeks away and Chhath Puja following soon after, Central Railways has introduced special trains to accommodate the festive rush. These trains will make traveling more convenient for passengers heading to cities like Nanded, Samastipur, Gorakhpur, and Prayagraj.

Special Trains Between Panvel and Nanded

To help manage the surge of passengers, 24 special trains will run between Panvel and Nanded. Below are the details:

  1. Train 07626 (Panvel to Nanded):
    • Departure: Every Tuesday and Thursday at 2:30 PM from October 22 to November 28.
    • Arrival: At Hazur Sahib Nanded by 4:30 AM the next day.
  2. Train 07625 (Nanded to Panvel):
    • Departure: Every Monday and Wednesday at 11:00 PM from October 21 to November 27.
    • Arrival: At Panvel by 1:25 PM the next day.

Stations Covered by Both Trains: Kalyan, Nashik Road, Igatpuri, Manmad, Lasur, Aurangabad, Jalna, Rotegaon, Parbhani, Purna, Selu, Partur, Manwat, and Nagarsol.

Additional Trains for Festive Travelers

To ensure smooth travel for passengers heading to other major destinations, Central Railways has also introduced special trains connecting Mumbai to Prayagraj, Samastipur, and Gorakhpur. These trains aim to provide a hassle-free journey for people traveling for Diwali and Chhath Puja celebrations.

Booking Tickets for Special Trains

Passengers can book tickets for the Panvel-Nanded trains through the official IRCTC website, www.irctc.co.in, or the IRCTC mobile app. Bookings started on October 14, 2024.

Note: Tatkal tickets are available, but seats are limited. It is advised to book tickets early due to high demand during the festive season.

About Diwali and Chhath Puja

Diwali, the ‘Festival of Lights,’ starts with Dhanteras, followed by Bhai Dooj. This year, Diwali will be celebrated on November 1, 2024, according to the Hindu calendar.
