Flood alert: Normal life is disrupted due to floods in many areas. In the last 24 hours, 5 people died in a landslide in Vijayawada, Andhra. 3 people drowned in a canal in Guntur. Railway track washed away between Kesamudram and Mehboobabad in Telangana, trains on Delhi-Vijayawada route are stopped.

IMT predicted heavy rains in Telangana tomorrow

The Meteorological Department (IMT) has predicted heavy rains in Telangana,  all schools will remain closed on Monday. There is also a 5-day alert in Vijayawada. A period of heavy rains is likely to start in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, however The Meteorological Department has also predicted floods and landslides.

55 ghats are submerged in Ganga in Varanasi

The Ganga river increased in Uttar Pradesh from last 7 days. there 55 ghats are submerged in Ganga in Varanasi. while Ganga is above the danger mark in Ballia.

IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that 9% more rain is expected.. Apart from this, one has to remain alert about landslides as extremely heavy rainfall in these areas can cause floods, heavy rains are expected in Uttarakhand, and in some part  of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in September.

Heavy rain in Telangana

Yesterday many parts of Telangana received heavy rains, because of ths this, low-lying areas were flooded. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain for the next two days. Rain alert in 18 states on 2 September.

The Meteorological Department(IMD) has predicted heavy rains in following states,

Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, Manipur, Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir on September

Orange and yellow alerts in districts of Gujarat for the next 3 days

However Orange and yellow alerts for rain will remain in many districts of Gujarat for the next 3 days. Due to the depression system formed in the Bay of Bengal, the rainy season will start again today after a break of two-three days in Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for light to moderate and sometimes heavy rain for 22 districts. There is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Rajasthan for the next 5 days. Monsoon has weakened in Bihar. However, the Meteorological Center has predicted light drizzle in some districts of the state today.

Monsoon activated in Haryana again

The state has received 25 percent less rain than the average from June 1 to August 31. The speed of the flood in the rivers has also decreased, the Monsoon activities in Haryana are likely to increase again after stopping for 1-2 days. The weather will change again in Haryana from Monday and with the monsoon winds becoming active again, there are signs of good rain in most areas of the state between 2 and 5 September. After 24 years, Haryana has received 26 percent more rain.
