GRAP-3 will be implemented in Delhi-NCR from tomorrow because of pollution, know the restrictions

Air pollution is increasing rapidly in Delhi, in view of this the Commission for Air Quality Management has decided to GRAP-3 will be implemented from tomorrow.

Delhi Pollution:  Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital, was recorded at 418 on Wednesday. Which was the highest in the country. As soon as GRAP 3 is implemented, construction will be banned in Delhi-NCR, only those construction works will continue which are nationally necessary. At the same time, a decision has also been taken to close schools up to class 5.

These restrictions are applicable under GRAP-3 (GRAP-3 restrictions)

Boring and drilling, piling work, sewer line, drainage and electric cable work through open trench system, brick kiln work, RMC batching plant, large welding work and gas cutting work will not be possible in construction and demolition work.

Vehicles will not run on unpaved roads.

Transportation of debris will not be allowed.

All stone crusher zones in NCR will remain closed.

Mining and related activities will remain closed in NCR.

Apart from Delhi, BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel vehicles will be banned in Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar.

BS-3 light cargo vehicles will be banned

Only electric, CNG, BS-VI diesel buses and tempo travellers will play on inter-state buses.

If the state government wishes, physical classes for children up to class V can be stopped or they can be given classes in online mode.

Dangerous rate of pollution in Delhi

Earlier amid the dangerous rate of pollution in Delhi, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said on Thursday that the government will not implement the third phase of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP-III). This decision was taken after a meeting held by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on GRAP-III.

But late in the evening it has been implemented now

Construction and demolition are banned under this scheme. State governments can close individual classes till class 5 and there is an emphasis on public transport.
