HM meeting with Chief Ministers of insurgency-affected states today, know which issues will be discussed?
Amit Shah Meeting: The Union Home Minister Amit Shah is going to hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of insurgency-affected states. CMs of many states including Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Telangana, Odisha and Maharashtra will attend this meeting.
Home Minister will hold a review meeting
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, five Union Ministers, senior officials of Union Ministries and representatives of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Deputy National Security Advisor will also participate in this meeting. Deputy National Security Advisor and senior officials of the Center, States and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) are also expected to attend this meeting.
Extremism to be eliminated from states
In the meanwhile under the leadership of PM Modi and guidance of Home Minister Shah, the central government is committed to eliminate Left Wing Extremism by March 2026. The central government is providing all possible assistance to all the affected states.
Guidelines given regarding elimination
The Home Minister Amit Shah, the Central Government is committed to completely eliminate the threat of Left Wing Extremism. Even though the central government is providing all possible assistance to the state affected by Left Wing Extremism to fight the problem of Naxalism.

Reduction in violence of extremism
However the security forces have achieved unprecedented success against the Maoists. In the first nine months of this year, 202 Maoists have been killed, while 723 have surrendered. While 72 percent reduction in violence and 86 percent reduction in deaths in 2023 as compared to 2010. The fight against Left Wing Extremism is now in its final stages.
Review meeting was held in October 2023
Home Minister Amit Shah chaired the last review meeting with the Chief Ministers of Left Wing Extremism affected states on October 6, 2023. Then comprehensive guidelines were given for the elimination of Left Wing Extremism.
