The Story of Prahlad and Holika

According to Hindu mythology, King Hiranyakashipu wanted everyone to worship him, but his son Prahlad was a devoted follower of Lord Vishnu. To punish him, the king’s sister, Holika, who had a fire-resistant shawl, sat in a burning pyre with Prahlad. However, due to divine intervention, Holika was burned, and Prahlad emerged unharmed. This event is commemorated as Holika Dahan, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
