'India Must Be in G7 Now', Says Kushal Mehra

Responding to whether India should be included in the elite G7 group, Mehra said, "Absolutely yes." He added that even if it means turning the G7 into a G10, India must be included. With its economy consistently growing at 6-7%, India's global purchasing power and influence warrant its rightful seat at the G7 table.

'India Responds in English, Unlike China & Russia'

Kushal Mehra emphasized India's unique strength—its command over the English language in diplomatic affairs. "Unlike China and Russia, India answers the world in English," he said. Mehra also pointed out that India's diaspora in Canada still lags behind the American diaspora, hinting at untapped potential in global representation.

'Give Mark Carney Two Years Before Judging Him'

Talking about Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Mehra urged patience. He advised that India should give Carney time to prove himself. “Drink even the sour milk,” he said metaphorically, urging a diplomatic approach rather than a reactive one. “Judge him after two years, not before.”
