India Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rains in Gujarat. Areas including Chhotaudepur, Narmada, and Surat are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall, with some places facing extremely heavy downpours.

- West Madhya Pradesh: An orange alert has been issued for very heavy rains today, September 3, and for Gujarat State on both September 3 and 4.
- Madhya Maharashtra: Isolated heavy rains are expected over the next week.
- Vidarbha, Saurashtra & Kutch: Heavy rains are anticipated from September 2 to 5.
- Chhattisgarh, Konkan, and Goa: Heavy rains are predicted from September 5 to 8.
- Kerala and Mahe: Expect heavy rains from September 2 to 4.
- Telangana: Heavy rains are forecasted for September 2.
- Coastal Karnataka: Heavy rains are expected on September 2 and 3.
North East India
- Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura: Heavy rains are forecasted from September 2 to 4.
- Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands: Heavy rains are expected from September 2 to 5.
- Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim: Heavy rains are predicted on September 4 and 5.
- Bihar: Heavy rains are forecasted for September 4.
- Odisha: Expect heavy rains on September 5 and 6.
