Indian Forces Foil Two Drone Attacks on Jammu by Pakistan Within Hours

Indian Forces: On the night of May 8 and early morning of May 9, Pakistan attempted two attacks on Jammu city using drones and missiles. Indian air defence quickly responded and stopped the threats.

Blasts and Sirens Heard Through the Night

Locals in Jammu reported hearing explosions and sirens until 4:45 am. These were due to defence systems acting against incoming threats.

No Casualties or Damage in Jammu

Thanks to the Indian Army’s quick action, no damage or injuries were reported in any civil or military areas. A full blackout was imposed during both attacks for safety.

Heavy Shelling and Infiltration Bid at Border

While drones targeted the city, Pakistani troops also shelled areas along the International Border and LoC. A terrorist group also tried to cross into Samba, but BSF stopped them.

Officials Urge Calm and Vigilance

Jammu’s Deputy Commissioner asked residents to stay calm. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also rushed to Jammu to review the situation.

Indian Army’s Strong Message

The Army confirmed multiple ceasefire violations and drone strikes were repelled strongly. India vowed to protect its territory with full force.
