iPhone 17 Series May Skip 'Plus' Variant, Say Leaks

Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 series is making headlines even before its official launch, which is expected in September 2025. Rumors suggest the new iPhones will have better performance, camera improvements, and possibly a larger display.

No More iphone ‘Plus’ Model?

Reports say that Apple may remove the 'Plus' version from the iPhone 17 lineup. This is likely because of low demand in the market for the current Plus models.

Tipster Shares Leaked Case Designs

A well-known tech tipster named Majin Bu recently posted leaked images of iPhone 17 cases on X (formerly Twitter). These include cases for:

  • iPhone 17
  • iPhone 17 Pro
  • iPhone 17 Air
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max

He also said users can pre-order the cases by messaging him, even though the phones won’t launch for a few more months. However, final designs may still change.

Big Camera Modules in Focus

The leaked cases show that both the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max may have larger camera setups. This supports earlier leaks that pointed to major camera upgrades.

ProMotion Coming to Standard iPhone

For the first time, Apple might add the 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate to the regular iPhone model. Until now, this feature was only on Pro models. This smoother screen will use LTPO OLED panels from Samsung, which are energy efficient.

There are also rumors that this could lead to an Always-On Display, though Apple hasn’t confirmed this.

Expected iPhone 17 Price in India

The iPhone 17 series is expected to start at ₹79,900 in India. But prices may go up due to:

  • High import taxes
  • Manufacturing challenges in China
  • Tensions between the US and China

All these factors could impact how much you’ll pay for the new iPhones in India.
