IPL 2025: Delhi Capitals skipper Axar Patel opened up about his bond with MS Dhoni. He credited the former India captain for mentoring him during tough times. Axar shared that after India’s T20 World Cup 2024 and Champions Trophy wins, Dhoni messaged him with appreciation.

Axar revealed, “When Dhoni was India’s captain, I used to share everything with him. He was also a mentor during the 2021 World Cup. After some personal struggles, I spoke with him, and things started to change. A part of my success belongs to him.”

In a video posted by Delhi Capitals on X, a photo shows Dhoni and Axar chatting during a practice session. Axar recalled Dhoni jokingly telling him, “Dost, your planets are moving here and there. Sometimes the ball hits you, or something odd happens. You should get it checked.”
