Jasmin Savoy Brown Returns as Mindy in ‘Scream 7’
Jasmin Savoy Brown is officially set to return as Mindy Meeks-Martin in the highly anticipated horror sequel, “Scream 7.” Brown joins Mason Gooding, reprising his role as her brother Chad, as well as franchise veterans Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott) and Courteney Cox (Gale Weathers).
The movie is currently in production in Atlanta, with Kevin Williamson at the helm. The seventh installment introduces Joel McHale as Sidney’s husband and Isabel May as her daughter, alongside new cast members Celeste O’Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, and Anna Camp.
Release Date and Production Highlights
“Scream 7” is slated for a February 27, 2026 theatrical release. Produced by Spyglass Media and distributed by Paramount Pictures, the film marks another thrilling chapter in the long-running franchise.

Jasmin Savoy Brown, the franchise's first queer character, gained recognition for her role as Mindy, a fan-favorite since her debut in the fifth installment (2022).

Beyond “Scream,” Brown has been busy with her podcast, “Today in Gay,” aimed at the queer community. Fans can also catch her in the third season of Showtime’s “Yellowjackets,” premiering in February.
