JEE Main 2025: Cut-Off Likely to Rise – Here’s What Experts Say
JEE Main 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the results of JEE Main Session 2 by April 17, 2025. Candidates who appeared for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) can check their final score and answer key on the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Why Cut-Off May Increase This Year
Experts believe that the JEE Main 2025 cut-off is likely to be higher than previous years. The reasons include:
- A larger number of students appeared for the exam
- Overall better performance by candidates
- Slight increase in exam difficulty
Expected JEE Main 2025 Cut-Off (Percentile & Marks)
According to education experts and coaching institutes, here’s the predicted cut-off for eligibility to appear in JEE Advanced 2025:
- General Category
- Percentile: 93 to 95
- Marks: 85–90 or more
- OBC-NCL
- Percentile: 83 to 93
- Marks: Around 80–85
- EWS
- Percentile: 85
- Marks: Around 84–86
- SC Category
- Percentile: 65 to 86
- Marks: 60–65
- ST Category
- Percentile: 50 to 80
- Marks: 50–55
- PwD Candidates
- Percentile: 40 to 45
- Marks: As low as 0.0018 marks as per past data
Class 12 Eligibility Also Important
- To be eligible for admission in NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, candidates must also pass:
- 75% aggregate in Class 12 for General and OBC categories
- 65% aggregate for SC, ST, and PwD categories
