The Story Behind Karwa Chauth
The story of this fesrival is associated with various legends, with one of the most well-known being the story of Veeravati, a queen whose profound love and dedication brought her husband back to life. According to this tale, Veeravati celebrated her first Karwa Chauth after getting married. Unable to withstand her hunger, she fainted. Her brothers, wishing to assist her, deceived her into thinking the moon had appeared, which led her to end her fast prematurely. Unfortunately, soon after, she received the heartbreaking news of her husband’s death.

Heartbroken, she prayed to Goddess Parvati, who advised her to complete her fast with sincere devotion. Miraculously, her husband was brought back to life, demonstrating the power of unwavering faith and love.
