Kia Seltos Launch: New Kia Seltos arrives to compete with the Sierra, here's the price
New Kia Seltos Price: With the beginning of the new year, car launches have also started. As the first car of this year, the South Korean car manufacturer Kia today unveiled its new Kia Seltos. With a powerful design, new features, and a reliable engine, this mid-size SUV is now officially available for sale.
In addition, the SUV has been equipped with new advanced features. In the market, it competes with the Hyundai Creta and Tata Sierra.
The starting price of the new Kia Seltos is Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which is an introductory price. This means that the company will increase the prices of this SUV in the future. Compared to the previous model, its starting price is approximately Rs 20,000 more. The previous model started at a price of Rs 10.79 lakh. Bookings have started from December 11th with a token amount of Rs 25,000, and deliveries will also start from mid-January.
Changes in Exterior and Interior
The new Kia Seltos features the company's 'Opposite United' design philosophy. A wide grille is given at the front, which includes the headlights. Vertical LED DRLs, gloss black body cladding, retractable door handles, blacked-out pillars, and an LED light bar at the rear give it a completely new look.
Larger in Size
In terms of dimensions, the new Seltos measures 4,460 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. Compared to the old model, this SUV is 95 mm longer, 30 mm wider, and has an 80 mm longer wheelbase, resulting in improved cabin space.
Engine and Performance
In terms of engines, the new Seltos is similar to its predecessor. It comes with a 1.5-liter petrol engine producing 115 hp, a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 116 hp, and a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine producing 160 hp. The petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a CVT transmission. The diesel engine comes with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The turbo petrol engine is offered with a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
Features and Safety
The new Kia Seltos features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include ventilated front seats, 64-color ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, Level-2 ADAS, 10-way power driver's seat, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, 8-speaker Bose sound system, and connected car technology.
Kia has also confirmed that a petrol hybrid version of the Seltos will be launched in the future, possibly by 2027. The hybrid variant is expected to offer better mileage, which has been a much-discussed topic in this segment. Recently, Tata Sierra... Pricing and Variants of Seltos
New Kia Seltos is priced from Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 19.99 lakh. The company has offered this SUV in several variants, including HTE, HTK, HTX, and GTX. This SUV directly competes with vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Tata Sierra in the market.
