Accused Sanjay Roy was involved in murder and rape
However, In the investigation it was revealed that only Sanjay Roy was involved in the rape and murder, the role of any other person has not come to light. Every day new revelations are being made in the Kolkata rape-murder case. But now the CBI investigation in this case has reached its final stage. The DNA report had already come to the CBI, which was sent to AIIMS for final opinion. A panel of doctors from AIIMS has studied the DNA report closely. While The CBI has so far recorded the statements of more than 100 people in this case also Polygraph tests of 10 people were conducted.

Briefing of the matter
A trainee doctor body was found inside the seminar hall of the hospital on the morning of August 9 and Sanjay Roy was arrested the next day. On August 13, the Calcutta High Court ordered the investigation to be handed over from Kolkata Police to the CBI.
Massive protests was held in Kolkata
Nationwide protest happened, but in Kolkata on 9 August incident. The residents of the city switched off their lights for an hour demanding justice for the victim. As part of the protest, lights were also switched off at places like Victoria Memorial and Raj Bhavan. Governor CV Anand Bose lit candles at the Raj Bhavan and shared the scene on X.
