London's Gatwick Airport, South Terminal evacuated for security, panic in travelers
While a large part of the terminal has been evacuated as a precaution for security reasons at London's Gatwick Airport. Gatwick is Britain's second busiest airport. Giving information, the airport said that a part of its South Terminal has been evacuated during the investigation of the incident. Also, passengers are being prevented from entering the building

The Gatwick is located 30 miles (48.2803 km) south of London. The local police have not yet commented on the incident. According to local media, National Rail has asked people to avoid going to the metro station during this incident. It has been told that this disruption is expected to continue till 2 pm (local time).

The airport said in a statement, "As a precaution, a large part of the South Terminal has been evacuated while we continue to investigate the security incident. During this time, passengers will not be able to enter the South Terminal.

Panic in travelers
People present at the airport have posted about this chaos on social media, saying that check-in and security lines have been closed, and people have been asked to exit.
Meanwhile the airport has assured passengers that the North Terminal is still open. It urged passengers whose flights depart from the southern terminal to check the status with their airlines.
