Magh Purnima Snan: On February 12, thousands of devotees gathered at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj to take a holy dip on the auspicious occasion of Magh Purnima. The event is part of the grand Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, which began on January 13.

Aerial Flower Showers at Sangam
In a breathtaking moment, a helicopter showered flower petals on devotees and ascetics as they took the sacred bath. Drone footage captured the immense crowd at the ghats, highlighting the spiritual fervor of the occasion.
Unexpected Crowd at Maha Kumbh
According to additional mela officer Vivek Chaturvedi, the turnout exceeded expectations. He assured that all arrangements were in place to accommodate the massive influx of pilgrims. The holy dip continued throughout the day.

Strict Security and Traffic Measures
To ensure a smooth experience, authorities declared Prayagraj a no-vehicle zone, except for emergency vehicles. Artificial intelligence-powered cameras and drones monitored the crowd, while traffic police tracked real-time vehicle movements to prevent congestion.
Top-Notch Medical Facilities for Devotees
Officials anticipated a huge influx of devotees and placed all hospitals in high alert mode. Over 133 ambulances, including river and air ambulances, were stationed across the fairgrounds. A dedicated medical team of 2,700 personnel was deployed, with 250 reserved hospital beds and a blood bank stocked with 200 units for emergencies.
Special Arrangements for Smooth Travel
To manage the heavy footfall, the railway department increased train services, with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inspecting stations before the event. The state transport department deployed 1,200 extra buses, operating every 10 minutes to facilitate pilgrim movement.
Maha Kumbh 2025: A Grand Spiritual Gathering
Held once every 12 years, the Maha Kumbh Mela is the largest spiritual gathering in the world. It will conclude on February 26 on the sacred occasion of Mahashivratri.
