Maharashtra Elections: Amit Shah's Helicopter Checked by Election Commission Officials
Maharashtra Elections: In a recent development related to the Maharashtra state assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah's helicopter was checked by Election Commission (EC) officials on Friday. Shah had arrived in Hingoli, Maharashtra, to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate contesting in the election.
The inspection comes amid controversy over the checking of bags belonging to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray. Thackeray had raised concerns about the checking process, asking Election Commission officials if they had inspected the bags of other prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Thackeray even requested to see the video footage of those checks.
In response to the inspection of his helicopter, Amit Shah shared a video on social media platform X, confirming that the Election Commission officials had checked his helicopter as part of routine election procedures. Shah stated that the BJP strongly believes in fair elections and always adheres to the rules set by the Election Commission.
“We all must contribute to a healthy election system and perform our duties to keep India as the strongest democracy in the world,” Shah wrote in his post.
