Mr. Sanjay Kaul Assumes Charge as MD and Group CEO of GIFT City
Gandhinagar, July 21: Senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Mr. Sanjay Kaul on Monday assumed charge as the Managing Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City)—India’s premier smart city and maiden International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). He succeeds Mr. Tapan Ray, IAS officer (Retd.), who has been at the helm since 2019 and led GIFT City through a defining phase of growth.

A 2001-batch IAS officer, Mr. Kaul brings with him over two decades of experience in public policy, infrastructure development, technology, and finance. Prior to this role, he served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. He has earlier worked in Gujarat as Managing Director of Gujarat Informatics Limited and the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Limited.

A native of Gujarat, Mr. Kaul holds a professional degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Surat, and in Public Policy from Syracuse University, New York, USA.
