The Mumbai Police have reportedly connected the shooting of NCP leader Baba Siddique to the firing incident that took place outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence earlier this year. Sources from the Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch informed NDTV that the plot to kill Baba Siddique was planned just 10 days after the April 14 shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments.

The Firing Incident

On April 14, two men, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, opened fire at Salman Khan’s residence while riding a motorcycle. In his bail plea, Gupta mentioned that he was influenced by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s image as shown in the media. This shooting led to a series of events where the Lawrence Bishnoi gang targeted people close to Salman Khan.

The Link to Baba Siddique

Baba Siddique, a close friend of Salman Khan, became a prime target after the shooting outside the actor's home. Police sources suggest that following this incident, the Bishnoi gang planned to kill individuals connected to Salman Khan, with Siddique being at the center of their attention.

Illegal Telecommunication Network

The investigation into Baba Siddique's murder revealed the gang’s use of an illegal communication system called “dabba calling.” This system allowed the gang to coordinate the murder in real-time while remaining undetected by police. The gang had set up their own telecommunication hub, and Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, allegedly used it to direct the shooters involved in the plot.

The Murder of Baba Siddique

Baba Siddique, aged 66, was shot and killed by three gunmen near his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra, Mumbai, on October 12. The police revealed that Shiva Kumar Gautam, the suspected main shooter, stayed at the crime scene for about 20 minutes after the murder. He changed his clothes and left, but later returned to the scene, discarding a bag containing his shirt, pistol, and Aadhaar card. Police reports indicate that he was observing the police response and saw that two of his accomplices were caught on the spot.

Investigation and Progress

The Mumbai Police continue to investigate the case, with several suspects, including Shiva Kumar Gautam and others, facing scrutiny. The investigation has made significant progress, and authorities are working to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy behind Baba Siddique’s killing.
