The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday, October 25, announced a reward of Rs. 10 lakh for information leading to the capture of Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol has been named in two NIA cases filed in 2022, and his name recently surfaced in investigations tied to activities in Mumbai, including those involving a political party.

Involvement in Baba Siddique Case

The announcement follows a statement from the Mumbai Crime Branch, which reported that Anmol Bishnoi was in contact with three suspected shooters involved in the murder of Baba Siddique, a Mumbai-based figure. According to authorities, the shooters communicated with Anmol via Snapchat before the shooting, deleting messages after reading them. One of the suspected masterminds, Praveen Lonkar, was also directly connected with Anmol Bishnoi.

Salman Khan Threat Incident

Anmol Bishnoi is also wanted in connection with another high-profile case: a shooting incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra West in April 2024. The shooters in that case were reportedly acting on Anmol’s directions.

Baba Siddique was shot outside his son’s office in Bandra East, Mumbai. Though he was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries hours after the attack. The Crime Branch has so far detained 10 suspects in connection with the case, including two shooters and a supplier of weapons
