Nikita Porwal Crowned Femina Miss India 2024
Nikita Porwal from Madhya Pradesh has been crowned as Femina Miss India 2024. The prestigious beauty pageant, held in Mumbai on October 16, 2024, saw Rekha Pandayy, representing Union Territories, as the first runner-up, while Ayushi Dholakia from Gujarat secured the third spot. Last year’s winner, Nandini Gupta, was crowned Porwal, while Bollywood actor Neha Dhupia placed the Miss India sash on her.
About Nikita Porwal
Born in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, Nikita Porwal studied at Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School and is currently pursuing higher education at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. Nikita’s motto in life is “Be a life that matters, a loss that’s felt.” She has been passionate about acting and storytelling from a young age, starting her career at 18 as a TV anchor. She has performed in over 60 plays and has even written a 250-page play, Krishna Leela. Additionally, she has worked in a feature film showcased at international festivals, which is soon to be released in India.

Nikita greatly admires former Miss World and Bollywood icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She expressed her admiration for her blend of beauty, intellect, and elegance, stating that Aishwarya’s ability to balance tradition and modernity is truly inspirational.
The Miss India Pageant
The Miss India pageant marked its 60th edition in 2024, with 30 contestants from across India competing for the prestigious title. The event at Famous Studios, Mumbai, featured several notable personalities, including former Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani, Neha Dhupia, and Raghav Juyal. The competition involved rigorous training and grooming in a boot camp facilitated by industry experts.
Legacy and Future Prospects
Winning the Femina Miss India title not only brings fame but also offers the winner a chance to represent India at the Miss World pageant. India has a proud legacy with five Miss World titleholders: Aishwarya Rai, Diana Hayden, Yukta Mookhey, Priyanka Chopra, and Manushi Chhillar.
