Paris Paralympics 2024: Day 6 Schedule - After a stellar performance on Day 4, the Indian team is looking forward to an exciting Day 6 at the Paris Paralympics 2024. Indian athletes will compete in shooting, archery, and athletics events, with high hopes of adding to the medal tally.

Schedule for September 3

Shooting

  • Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions SH1 (Qualification): Mona Agarwal and Avani Lekhara will compete at 1:00 PM.
  • Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions SH1 (Final): If qualified, Mona Agarwal and Avani Lekhara will shoot for medals at 7:30 PM.

Athletics

  • Women's Shot Put F34 (Medal Round): Bhagyashree Jadhav will compete at 2:28 PM.
  • Women's 400m T20 Final: Deepthi Jeevanji will race at 10:38 PM.
  • Men's High Jump T63 (Medal Round): Sharad Kumar, Mariyappan Thangavelu, and Shailesh Kumar will compete at 11:50 PM.
  • Men's Javelin Throw F46 (Medal Round): Ajeet Singh Yadav, Rinku, and Sundar Singh Gurjar will compete at 12:13 AM (Wednesday).

Archery

  • Women's Recurve: Pooja will face an opponent yet to be announced at 3:20 PM.

Medals Won by India So Far

  • Badminton: Nithya Sre Sivan secured a bronze in the SH6 category, bringing India's total to eight medals on the fifth day, including five in badminton.
  • Archery: Rakesh Kumar and Sheetal Devi won bronze in the Mixed Team Compound event, defeating Italy’s Eleonora Sarti and Matteo Bonnacina 156-155.
  • Javelin Throw: Sumit Antil claimed gold with a record-breaking throw in the men’s javelin throw F64 final, setting two new Paralympic records. This victory marks India's third gold medal at the games.
