Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh stringent action on drug trafficking in Gautam Budh Nagar
Under the direction of Police Commissioner Gautam Budh Nagar, Laxmi Singh, a continuous, comprehensive, and intensive campaign against drug trafficking has been conducted under the Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissionerate. During the three-year period of 2023, 2024, and 2025, strict action was taken against drug traffickers. A total of 6,865.793 kg of marijuana and other narcotics (charas, smack/heroin, narcotic pills, MDMA, narcotic powder, and alprazolam powder) were recovered. The estimated market value of the recovered drugs is ₹1,467 million.
Noida police strong action on drug trafficking
From January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023, the Gautam Budh Nagar Police effectively curbed the illegal drug trade, registering a total of 585 cases. In these cases, 667 accused were named and 07 accused came to light. Out of which 660 accused were arrested and against the remaining 14 accused, warrant, attachment and other strict legal action was taken. As part of preventive action, action was taken against 2 persons under National Security Act (NSA) and confiscation of illegal property. In the seizure, 2777.457 kg of ganja and other narcotics (charas, smack/heroin, intoxicant pills, MDMA, intoxicant powder, alprazolam powder) were recovered in huge quantity. Whose estimated/market value is Rs 93 crore 50 lakh.

The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate effectively curbed the illegal drug trade, registering a total of 502 cases against 578 accused. Of these, 571 were arrested, and warrants, seizures, and other stringent legal action were taken against the remaining seven. History sheets were opened for 80 individuals, and stringent action was taken under the NSA, PIT-NDPS Act, and Gangsters Act. In full compliance with Section 52(A) of the NDPS Act, samples were presented to the Honorable Court in 578 cases.

Police Commissionerate of effectively of Gautam Buddh Nagar has curbed the illegal drug trade by registering a total of 458 cases. In these cases, 515 accused were named and 2 accused were identified. Action was taken against all 517 accused and they were arrested. In the preventive action, strict and effective action was taken against the accused under NSA, Gangster Act and other sections. In the seizure, a huge quantity of 1297.261 kg of ganja and other drugs (charas, smack/heroin, intoxicant pills, MDMA, intoxicant powder, alprazolam powder, electronic cigarettes) were recovered. Their estimated/market value is Rs 12 crore 50 lakh. Along with this, two-wheelers and four-wheelers used in drug smuggling were recovered and confiscated.

Under the leadership of Police Commissioner Gautam Budh Nagar Smt. Laxmi Singh, Commissionerate Gautam Budh Nagar Police has effectively curbed the drug smuggling network by running intensive campaigns against drugs under the zero tolerance policy in the last three years. After arresting the accused on a large scale and making recoveries from them, charge sheets have been sent to the Court and remarkable success has been achieved in stopping the illegal drug trade through various stringent preventive actions (Rasuka, Gangster Act, NDPS Act and confiscation of illegal property) against the accused involved in drug trafficking.
