Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh surprise inspection at night; 10 policemen suspended due to negligence on duty

Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh:  Ten policemen deployed at key locations on the Greater Noida Expressway were found absent during a surprise inspection on Tuesday night. All of them have been suspended. Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh went out for a random check and noticed several instances of negligence.

The Police Commissioner has instructed to increase police presence at all important locations and to enhance public confidence in security.

Two surprise inspections were conducted on Tuesday night to monitor the policemen deployed on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. The first inspection took place at 8 pm, in which only the policemen deployed on one out of four vehicles were found at their designated location, while the policemen deployed on the other three vehicles were found absent. Following this, another surprise inspection was conducted at 10 pm, in which only the policemen deployed on two PRV (Police Response Vehicle) vehicles were found at their designated location.

Action taken against these policemen

The policemen found absent include Sub-Inspector Ratan Singh, Head Constable Chhotelal Singh, Akhleem Ali, Sumit Kumar, Constable Raju Kumar, Prashant Baliyan, Ravindra Kumar, Krishnaveer, Gaurav Chaudhary, and Home Guard Navindra Singh. Along with this, Dial-112 in-charge inspector Anil Kumar Pandey has been transferred to the police lines for negligence during the inspection. A departmental inquiry is also being initiated against the policemen.

Before also Commissioner Laxmi Singh  has taken action on negligence 

It should be noted that this is not the first action taken by the Police Commissioner in the district. She has taken action against policemen before as well. Laxmi Singh said that Gautam Buddh Nagar is one of the major districts of the state. To further strengthen the law and order situation here, a surprise inspection was conducted on Tuesday night. Strict action has been taken against the policemen found absent from duty during the inspection.

All policemen have been clearly told that no negligence in duty will be tolerated. Noida Traffic Police
