Police was not taking action, man set himself on fire outside of UP Vidhan Sabha
Lucknow: A man set himself on fire outside the UP Assembly. All though he has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition . In the meanwhile he alleges that the Sahadatganj police is not taking action in his case. However he had brought petrol with him. Police personnel present on the spot doused the fire with a blanket.
Youth set himself on fire in front of the assembly
In the meanwhile youth was admitted to the nearby hospital in hurry. While youth alleges that the Sahadatganj police is not taking action in his case. According to the information, the youth is a resident of Sahadatganj police station area. It is being told that the youth set himself on fire after being harassed by the Sahadatganj police.
Police beat him when he went to complain
The name of the youth is being told as Munna Vishwakarma , according to the police investigation. It was revealed that Munna poured petrol and went in front of Vidhan Sabha. As soon as he reached there, he lit a matchstick and set himself on fire. He suffered 50 percent burns.

According to police sources, Munna used to work in Bengal Tent House located in Alambagh. The tent house owner was not paying the money, due to which a dispute arose between the two. He had also complained about this at Mawaiya Chowki and Alambagh police station. Rather, he was beaten up in the police station itself.
Police did not take any action
The man was not able to pay the child's fees. He said that due to lack of money, fed up with which he took this extreme step today. The victim made serious allegations against the Alambagh police and said that his complaints were ignored and he was taken to Mawaiya outpost several times and tortured.
Same kind of incident happened few days back
Recently a woman from Unnao committed suicide by pouring petrol on her body near the Chief Minister's residence in Lucknow. She was admitted to the Civil Hospital and then to KGMU for treatment, where she died during treatment
