Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Attend G7 Summit in Canada, Visit Cyprus and Croatia
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his three-nation tour with an official visit to Cyprus on June 15-16, 2025, at the invitation of Cypriot President H.E. Mr. Nikos Christodoulides. This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Cyprus in over 20 years.
During his stay in Nicosia, PM Modi will engage in diplomatic talks with President Christodoulides and interact with business leaders in Limassol. This visit is aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and deepening India’s strategic engagement with the Mediterranean region and the European Union.

G-7 Summit in Canada: India’s Voice on Global Innovation and Energy
In the second leg of his journey, PM Modi will travel to Kananaskis, Canada, on June 16-17, following an invitation from Canadian Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Mark Carney. He will participate in the G-7 Summit for the sixth consecutive time.
The Summit provides a critical platform for PM Modi to discuss key global challenges with world leaders, including energy security, artificial intelligence, and quantum technology. He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with global leaders and representatives of international organizations on the sidelines of the event.
First-Ever Visit to Croatia: Deepening EU Partnership
The final destination on the Prime Minister’s itinerary is Croatia on June 18, where he will make history as the first Indian Prime Minister to officially visit the country. This visit is at the invitation of Croatian Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Andrej Plenković.
PM Modi will engage in bilateral discussions with PM Plenković and also meet Croatian President Zoran Milanović. This stop reaffirms India’s commitment to building robust relationships with European Union members and expanding strategic partnerships across the continent.
A Diplomatic Tour Focused on Global Impact
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tour from June 15 to 19, 2025, covering Cyprus, Canada, and Croatia, underlines India’s proactive diplomatic approach in fostering global collaboration.
