Protective shield for the countrymen
Actually, during the discussion on the Constitution in the Lok Sabha, Priyanka Gandhi said that the Constitution is a protective shield for our countrymen. It protects justice, unity, and freedom of expression.
She fiercely targeted BJP
But the ruling party has tried to break this protective shield in the last 10 years. She alleged that attempts are being made to weaken reservation through lateral entry and privatization. If the election results were different, perhaps the work of changing the Constitution would have also started. But the public stopped it.
Government discusses the past, but..
Priyanka said that the present government discusses the past but avoids the responsibilities of the present. She alleged that the government is not solving problems like unemployment and inflation. Farmers, laborers, and the poor are still in crisis. Taking a dig at the agricultural laws, she said that these have been made only for the benefit of big industrialists. Apple farmers of Himachal and farmers from Wayanad to Lalitpur are struggling with their problems today.
Priyanka stressed the need for caste census
Priyanka Gandhi stressed the need for caste census. She said that this demand was constantly raised by the opposition, but the ruling party did not take it seriously. It was brought into discussion under electoral pressure, but their lack of seriousness towards it is clearly visible. Caste census will reveal the real condition of the society, which is necessary for social and economic justice.

She said that earlier when Parliament was in session, the public expected that the government would discuss issues like inflation and unemployment. But now the public's confidence has decreased. Raising questions on the Women's Reservation Bill, Priyanka asked why it would take so much time to implement it. She said that women have proved their power with their votes and today the ruling party has to recognize that the government cannot be formed without them. Implementing this bill soon will be a respect for women's rights.
