R Ashwin ’s YouTube Channel Stops Covering CSK Matches – Here’s Why
Indian cricketer R Ashwin has stopped covering Chennai Super Kings (CSK) matches on his popular YouTube channel during the ongoing IPL 2025 season. This includes both match previews and reviews related to CSK.
Ashwin’s main YouTube channel has more than 1.6 million subscribers. He also launched a new Hindi analysis channel named Ash ki Baat. However, both channels will now avoid CSK-related content.

What Caused This Decision?
Recently, one of the guests on Ashwin’s channel — Prasanna Agoram, a former analyst with South Africa and RCB — made a comment that upset CSK fans. He criticized CSK’s decision to include Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad despite having senior Indian spinners like Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.
This video faced strong backlash online and was later removed.
Official Statement from R Ashwin ’s Channel
Ashwin’s YouTube team posted a message saying, “We want to be careful about how our content is viewed. So, we’ve decided not to cover CSK games for the rest of the season. The views shared by guests do not reflect Ashwin’s personal opinion.”
CSK’s Struggles in IPL 2025
CSK has not been doing well this season. After their win against Mumbai Indians in the opening game, they lost three matches in a row. Even CSK coach Stephen Fleming was asked about the impact of players having YouTube channels, hinting at possible dressing room tensions.
