Shivaji Kardile 's Political Journey
Starting as a local leader, Shivaji Kardile built his reputation from the grassroots level. A milk businessman by profession, he began his political career through the Local Self-Government Organization and served as Sarpanch of Burhannagar. In 1995, he was elected as an Independent MLA from the Nagar-Nevasa Assembly constituency, later gaining the support of the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance.
Ministerial Role and NCP Entry
During the late 1990s, Kardile contested again in 1999 and served as Minister of State for Fisheries and Rural Development. In 2004, he joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and won the Nagar-Nevasa seat under its banner, actively contributing to irrigation and rural development initiatives in Ahmednagar.
Joining the BJP and Rise to Prominence
In 2009, Kardile switched to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and contested from the Rahuri constituency.
