Meanwhile, the name of Rasulabad Ghat located on the banks of river Ganga in Sangam city has been changed. Now it will be known as Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad Ghat. A proposal has been passed in Prayagraj Municipal Corporation regarding this.

Before Mahakumbh, the name of Rasulabad Ghat of Prayagraj has been changed. This old ghat of Sangam city will now be known as Shaheed Chandrashekhar Ghat. Its name has been changed on the instructions of Yogi government.
Let us tell you that the last rites of Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad were performed at this Rasulabad Ghat.

Rasulabad Ghat is one of the oldest ghats in Prayagraj. The last rites of Amar Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad were performed at this ghat. Now before Mahakumbh, Yogi government has issued an order and named this ghat after Amar Shaheed. Regarding this, a plaque will be prepared soon, and it will be unveiled.

The mayor had passed a proposal in the Municipal Corporation to change the name of Rasulabad Ghat. A press release has been issued by the Municipal Corporation regarding this.
It has been told that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had inspected the preparations for Kumbh during his visit to Prayagraj recently. During this, he inspected Dashashwamedh Ghat and Ganga River Front Road, then he issued instructions to change the name of Rasulabad Ghat.

Names of these cities and railway stations changed
Earlier, the names of big cities like Allahabad and Faizabad of Uttar Pradesh were changed. Allahabad is now known as Prayagraj and Faizabad as Ayodhya. Apart from this, stations like Mughalsarai and Jhansi are renamed as Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Nagar and Veerangana Laxmibai Nagar.
Apart from this, the names of eight railway stations of Lucknow Division were changed. These include Jais, Akbarganj, Fursatganj, Warisganj Halt, Nihalgarh, Bani, Misrauli and Kasimpur Halt. All these railway stations were named after religious places, great men of the country.
